Unicorn Captured:

Well since it has shipped and its ETA is this coming Friday, I've decided to let the cat out of the bag and reveal one of my mail calls. I haven't quite decided on how to post it just yet, but I'm thinking about doing both at one time. So let me give you the back story to this one specific item I have coming in as we speak. This coming March will make 2 years of wet shaving in general for me and one of the first seasonal soaps I tried was HTGAM's Pumpkin 3.14 which was about this time last year. They also came out with the aftershave that you see below which went faster than the soap did. I managed to get the soap easy, but the aftershave went faster than I could get it both times it was offered. There's also a little bit of a back story to the soap as well. This was one of the few soaps that was a little too harsh for me back in the day. But back in those days, it was an old formula which has been changed twice since then and I'm more than confident that they've more than mastered their craft since then as well. I have NOT had any issues at all since they've changed to their current formula (2.5) since and I can same the same thing about the previous formula before this one (2.0). So this coming Friday I'll be holding off on shaving for that day to try it out if it comes in that day. If not their chocolate bourbon scented soap will be up next:

So now that things have changed along with the fact that I now have extra credit cards that I did not have back then, I managed to "sneak in there" and capture one of my unicorns that eluded me last year due to both a lack of funds and being extremely popular.

Mail Call #2 of 5:

Today's mail call is from "Soap Commander" and it's incredible. I ordered me another "Vision" scented bath bar which is my 3rd one for those of you who are keeping count and I was able to get my hands on the their limited edition soap called "Commitment" which is their Indian Sandalwood scented soap and it's epic. Unlike the other sandalwood scented soaps that are out there, this one is perfectly balanced. It's not overly sweet, too earthy and/or over cologned type of sandalwood scents that are out there. This one is also perfect for those with sensitive skin that want a stronger scented sandalwood scented soap. Better get this pretty soon before it's sold out. I was able to order everything I wanted to this time around including one honing stone which is awesome:

Windy City & Aqua Velva:

Today is "Steam Bath Factory Wednesdays" but since I just ordered one of those soaps for the first time, I'll have to use a Tiki Bar soap instead which is really cool because they're made by the same artisan, Mrs. Amanda Stott. Today's shave was epic and is what I like to call an ice rink shave. It's the type of shave that gets everyone hooked on straight razors period. Basically it's a true BBS shave that has no stinging or burning from either an alum block or your aftershave no matter what kind it is. Now onto the the star of the party which is Tiki Bar's "Windy City" shave soap. It's a fresh and clean after the rain type of scent and it's very good and strong. It's also becoming one of my favorites:

If you ever get a chance to meet Mrs. Amanda Stott and try any of her products, take advantage of it because not only are her products top notch but she's one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet or talk to period.

Mail Call:

Today's mail call is from "Zen Shave" out of Ontario Canada and it's epic. About a month ago, I entered my name in a contest that was being held on the Wet Shaver's Round Table and the drawing was held the following week (3 weeks ago to be exact) and the winner was to receive a custom made wooden box that holds one DE safety razor and a single pack of DE blades. I got lucky for the second time in a row and won the contest which was cool. The first time was by pure luck when I became member 1K at the HTGAM G+ community when someone joined about 30 seconds right behind me so I consider that being lucky. This box is gorgeous. Zen Shave does amazing work:

Coming from Canada, I suspect that it got held up at U.S. Customs which is really nothing unusual but it can be slightly irritating if you're not use to it, but I am because I made a career out of waiting and I'm a hunter which involves waiting:

I love it when I win contests. And I will be ordering some more stuff from Zen Shave in the near future. I've been wanting a couple of custom brushes for a while now.

Volcano & Walk The Plank:

Today is "Tiki Bar Tuesday" and today's shave was incredible. Not quite a true BBS but it was close and smooth. Volcano is more like a croap and has a fresh cut tropical fruit scent to it with a little hint of sweetness. This version of walk the plank has a much lighter rum scent with coconut and salt water which pairs perfectly with Volcano:

Today was a very good day. I have several mail calls coming. 2 items from Soap Commander, 1 from Tiki Bar (a Steam Bath Soap), and 2 items from PAA. One of those items will be another blog post because I've never used it before. I also still plan to buy a finishing stone from ILR here in a day or so which will be needed:

Integrity & The Beach:

Today is "Take Charge Mondays" which means Soap Commander gets used and today, their Integrity shaving soap was up in the rotation. Integrity is their unscented line of products and this would be my choice if I was out in the woods hunting but right now I've got too much going on to bow hunt at the moment and I'm still waiting on an insurance claim to boot. So to use something a little different and the fact that I haven't used it in a while, I threw in PAA's "The Beach" aftershave splash which is phenomenal. The matching soap was the first one that I finished earlier this year. I'm also still looking at getting the ILR finishing stone as well:
