One Last Time:

Well as they say, things don't always go according to plan. I was planning on sending these bad boys to my friend Anthony Esposito for Jnat edges and buying another razor off him. Unfortunately one of my bills was a little higher than I expected and something came up with my mom's finances that I had to help out with. So that pretty much has wiped me out until next payday and that is also being examined as well. They decided to re evaluate my case for my disability benefits. So that means one last time on the Norton 4/8K combo stone. First I killed the edges completely and then I did 200 round trips followed by 60/60, 30/30, 15/15, 8/8, 15 round trips to reset the bevel:

The Gold Monkey Jinhou (Triple 6) kept that sequence of 60/60, 30/30, 15/15, 8/8 seconds on each side of the razor followed by 15 round trips to clean up the edge a bit:

The Gold Dollar 208 got the usual routine of 40/40, 20/20, 10/10, 5/5, and then followed that up with 10 round trips to clean up the edge:

The Jinhou on the Norton 4/8K combo stone makes an incredible slurry:

After I reset the bevel, I performed a stropping session of 10 round trips on the nylon, 25 on the scrub leather, 50 on the smooth leather and I did this again after I finished 3 rounds on the stone which will be explained below:

These razors were past horrible. I did 200 round trips on both sides of the stone to get the bevel reset and then I did the progressions listed above for each razor 3 times to get the edge I wanted on both razors. I also cut the progression itself in half each time. Basically what that means is that I did one full progression and when I started again, instead of doing 60/60 on the Jinhou, I started with 30/30 instead and on the 3rd time around, I started with 15/15 seconds instead of 30/30.

Kilted Tiki:

This morning I had an incredibly refreshing shave, wow. Almost an ice rink but wasn't quite there due to it being the last shave on this blade. Tiki Bar's Kilted Tiki was up next and I had been craving it for the last couple of days. It has a scotch whiski and peat moss scent to it and Aqua Velva's classic ice blue aftershave goes with it perfectly. And the best part is that Amanda uses actual scotch whiski to make this incredible soap which is why it's more expensive than her others. That and it's a pretty large container so it'll be a while before I get  any where near the bottom of this soap. In fact I'm not even at the half way mark with it and with this specific vegan soap, it don't take hardly any to make a nice lather at all:

1 month later:

Well as most of you guys remember, I shaved my head completely bald exactly 1 month ago today and haven't done it since then. I do NOT plan on doing again either. But the rash cleared up very well and most of my hair has returned. I haven't quite gotten to where I have to brush it just yet, but it's not far from that. I also found out that I can NOT use PAA's Cucumber soap either. And I hate that because it was one of my favorites from PAA:

Jack Frost:

A fast and killer shave this morning with SteamBath Factory's Jack Frost. I got up showered and shaved and went out the door this morning around 10. I'm just now getting back. I believe that I'm going wait before I buy ANYTHING this month. I got a notice in the mail yesterday along with some forms to fill out to retain my disability benefits. Even though my medical records speak for themselves, you never really know with these guys. So that has me a little worried at the moment. The scent on this Jack Frost is warm sugar, vanilla with a little hint of peppermint candy and menthol. The post shave feel was really good and pretty close:

RazoRock Classic:

A great shave this morning. I don't exactly know what happened but that last Bolzano blade was a dud because I only got one good shave out of it. So I tossed it and put in a fresh Perma-Sharp blade and get a really good shave this morning and I followed that up with a nice hot shot shower. The scent on this RazoRock classic is great and is a cherry and sweet almond scent:

The post shave feel is great. I guess it's where I had a lot left over from yesterday. Tomorrow is payday for me and I'm hoping that the double open comb razor will be back in stock over at PAA. If not, I will go with another DE safety razor and get the DOC another time.

Number 11 of 2016:

Well people will be tripping over this one for sure. But say hello to my 11th soap of 2016. This was my TTFFC's "Cut Throat" scented soap and I'm getting low on her soaps. So next month, I'll be going on a soap ordering frenzy with TTFFC's soaps:

I'm also running out of room on the lid so I'll be making a new label for it once I finish off another soap which will be pretty soon:

These soaps are incredible and have fabulous scents. Their performance is also epic.

TTFFC's Cut Throat:

This morning's shave was great. It was also the last shave on this Bolzano DE blade as well. I was craving Through The Fire Fine Craft's soap this morning and their "cut throat" scent was up next in the rotation. It has a fresh but vintage 1930's style cologne scent to it which is really good. I get paid in a couple of days and since BOTH the Phoenix and Crown King double open comb razors are still out of stock along with the fact that I've not heard anything from Mongoose Razors, I have decided to go with my straight razors after they get back and I'm getting a set of Arkansas stones:

It's time for me to "beef up" my straight razor collection and I'm only going to have 2 razors with a Jnat edge on there because I want to test the Arkansas oil stones out and see what kind of an edge they produce. So I'm only going to be sending my Gold Monkey Jinhou out to be re honed. In terms of the Mongoose, I was told that they will be available in roughly 2 weeks.

I'm In A Good Place:

First, let me take a moment to say thank you for all the prayers and well wishes during this difficult time. I also want to take a moment to...
