Well I just finished off my last bottle of Fine's Aftershave splashes with today's shave and now it's time to say goodbye to them because I will NOT be restocking them in my rotation. Don't misunderstand me in this decision because they're good aftershaves and they do last, but I prefer Phoenix Shaving's aftershave splashes over Fine's for a lot of reasons. This is strictly a "YMMV" decision on my part:
The 1st reason is longevity. Fine's aftershave splashes do NOT last as long as PAA's does. In fact they're no where near to being close. The longest I've gotten this stuff to last was 8 hours, while PAA's have gone past 24 hours with some scents (Tombstone and The Beach to be specific). The 2nd reason is the actual scent itself. On some days I can NOT detect the scent of Fine's aftershave due to the perfumer's alcohol over powering the actual fragrance itself while some days I can detect it but not for long. They don't age it enough and they use the lower grade perfumer's alcohol. If Fine prefiltered their alcohol and allowed it to age much longer, this would be an epic aftershave. Those are the only 2 reasons that keep me from buying these aftershave splashes.
