New Flattening System:

Well I tried it and it's decent. There's only 2 things wrong with it. Number one is that it's extremely messy and the second one is that it takes more water than expected to keep it in a paste like consistency to do what what's needed so here in a couple of minutes, I'm going to check my credit card balances and see if I can get the DMT fine slurry stone from either Amazon or Best Sharpening Stones or get the ultra sharp 2 diamond plate and go from there:

First, I drew ordinary pencil lines (any kind of pencil will do) on the flattening stone:

Next I used some 320 grit SIC powder :

Next I made a paste and did a few circles to flatten the stone:

The tile I used only cost me $1.32 and I noticed that the powder likes a little extra water to keep its cutting power and from drying out on me. Basically I think it's best just to get either a 600 and/or 1,200 grit diamond plate for general flattening, cleaning and raising a slurry because this was just simply too messy in my humble opinion :

It did work pretty fast but not as fast as my flattening stone is and the flattening stone itself cost me more than the diamond plate would have. Oh well it's really no big deal and it gives me an excuse to add more stones to my arsenal.
